Your Sense Of Taste Will Recover
Maybe you think that you can taste your food fine but the simple truth is that you can't. Smoking diminishes the sense of taste by affecting your taste buds. You'll be amazed at how food is supposed to taste, when you quit smoking.
Be prepared; get your ducks in a row so that you eliminate excuses. My friend bought a book for example and also prepared herself mentally. I myself had gum on hand to help with any immediate cravings.
You Are Not Giving Anything Up
What I mean by this is that it is an illusion that there is anything positive about cigarettes. They do not give you any pleasure. It is a complete illusion that you suffer from because you are an addict. As long as you continue to believe this you will always be an addict.

Work out exactly what you are spending on smoking, how much does your habit cost you. What are you spending on a daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly basis? You will be surprised at just how much of your hard earned cash is just literally going up in smoke. On the positive side don't forget to think of all the nice things that you could be spending that cash on.

Hypnosis can be a highly effective cure for smoking for many people. In fact, one of my mother's friends took hypnosis and she never touched a cigarette again, to my mother's amazement as she continued to smoke away herself!
Hypnosis is not mumbo jumbo or "messing with the mind" but a highly respected way of curing people of addictions, phobias and many other afflictions that involve the mind.
Lastly is to start NOW, don't put this goal off any longer your health depends on it.
Most people fall off the wagon when they are bombarded by there triggers eg, a social occasion a few drinks etc. You can't avoid these situations or you would have to lock yourself up but, using the tips and letting everyone in on your plan will help you succeed.
