Little Girls And Their Dolls

I think at some point every girl goes through a stage where they want to have a doll and today like many other things in life there is a massive selection of dolls to choose from. There of course is the classic doll Barbie and the newer line called Bratz. No matter which doll your child decides they want they are going to want at least one of them.

The good news is that in today's economy you can purchase used dolls online, either through auction sites or through online classified sites. Your child will reach an age where buying used won't be cool anymore but until then dolls can take a pretty good beating before you can really notice if they are used or not so I suggest going this route first. Surprisingly these dolls can be pretty darn expensive.

Next of course after your child has a doll or two they are going to want clothing for them. Again I can stress enough how buying used clothes online can save you a ton of money. The other great point worth mentioning is this really is the best recycling we can do, this is the reuse in the three R's of recycling and in case you forgot they were reduce, reuse and recycle.

The phenomenon of online auctions has really changed the way we sell and hold onto certain things. There are still garage sales out there but using an online site really gets you what you want from the comfort of your own home. It really is a win, win.

Back to the dolls our daughter is now spending time online looking for other dolls to add to her collection. She knows that each year at Christmas and on her birthday she will receive roughly the same amount of money and she also does get allowance for doing chores around the house. With these online sites she can not only figure out which dolls she wants she is learning how to save her money and understand what it is worth!

Whether your daughter is ok with receiving used dolls or not these toys have become a staple in any little girls room right across the world. Maybe as the world is changing during the crazy economic times this is a great reason to teach our kids to use less.
